No.55 The Sycamore Gap Tree Sunset - Original Painting

I painted this in September 2023, feeling sad at the news that one of the most photographed trees in the country, a beauty of several hundred years standing, had been chopped down overnight by vandals.

I had it on my list of photo trips, assuming it would be there for as long as I wanted.
Obviously I couldn't photograph it anymore, but I could certainly paint it, and I ended up doing do paintings of it, with a night time version being painting No.57.

This one is painted in acrylic on 8x8 inch canvas panel board - that means it can be leant against something, or hung as is, or put in a frame.
I sell it without hanging hardware or a frame, but if you'd like me to add either, get in touch and let me know.
