No.18 Bluebells.
I'm trying to rack my brain, and I'm *pretty* sure this is the first painting I did that was trying to look like something, i.e. from a photo.
I had been taking photos for many years, with the idea at first of painting them, but as I went along, I realised I was happy enough with the art of the photos as they were, that I didn't really have the skillset to do them justice as a painting.
In the Spring of 2020 I was getting back into painting, and finally decided I'd give ti a go, as it was around Spring time (naturally), that I had taken some bluebell photos.
I decided that if I tried to use 2 different photos as reference, it would lessen the pressure as I was making up a scene that hadn't really been there.
Even now all these years later I'm still not sure if that actually made things simpler or just more complicated..!
I do enjoy looking at the end result though. I hope you do too.
Originally painted in acrylic on 5x7 stretched canvas, the canvas print comes in 5 sizes, & with hanging hardware and free shipping included.
